The TSC Tourist Support Service project has been operating since 2020 and currently covers Marmaris, the resorts of the Mugla and Antalya provinces.
The functions of the service include comprehensive tourist support (24/7), subject to the purchase of a loyalty card (price 5 euros). The card, which can be bought at most retail outlets, makes it possible to use a free mobile application and call-center option in Russian, English and Turkish.
Communication is carried out bilaterally – tourists ask questions and receive answers, and TSC informs through the application about all innovations, restrictions, and also, if necessary, directly contacts the administration of sea resorts and helps in resolving disputes, including complaints and claims.
Over the past 45 days of the summer season, the support service recorded 3286 calls and other calls, of which 83% were in Russian.
The topics of requests, according to TSC, can be divided into several groups:
- questions about the operation of retail outlets, places of public catering, as a rule, located near the hotels of tourists who applied for it (29%);
- current antiquity measures and restrictions adopted in Turkey (15%);
- opening hours of tourist attractions, as well as how to get to them, etc. (10%);
- questions about health facilities, including pharmacies, hospitals (8%);
- where and for how much a PCR test for coronavirus can be done (8%);
- information about banks and currency exchange offices (7%);
- claims, conflict situations, complaints related to service in hotels, on excursions, in shops (5%);
- everything about beaches and what is on them (5%);
- questions about food markets (4%);
- all other requests (9%).
A tourist who has purchased a TSC loyalty card (both physical and electronic) can use any service provided by the mobile application. The support service notes that tourists prefer to conduct most of their conversations in online chat (71%).
In addition to finding out the answers to the questions, the topics of which are already listed above, vacationers often use the route planning function – the application gives information about local transport, including taxis. You can also find out the exchange rate, the location of wireless Internet points both in the city and on the coast, read the news and much more.
29% of tourists contact TSC through a call to the call center number +90 850 255 03 04 or directly from the mobile application using the Internet connection.
TSC does not sell transfer services, vehicle rental, does not organize excursions, etc., however, it will certainly advise where this can be done or redirect to the tour operator or to the booking portal.
With the help of TSC, you can contact emergency services at any time of the day: ambulance, police, firefighters, get the opportunity to translate anything from Russian or into Russian.
TSC specialists will find a way to solve problems that guests of Turkey have, related, for example, to poor-quality service or violation of the rights of a tourist, and will organize the process of transferring the appeal of tourists to the relevant government agencies or, for example, to the police. Everything will be done absolutely free.
TSC cardholders will receive discounts at points participating in the loyalty program. New participants are constantly connected to the project. The discount can be from 5 to 20%.
TSC in Turkey expects to expand the list of its services during the season in order to provide all tourists, especially Russian speakers, with the necessary and timely assistance.
